It is my pleasure to officially welcome you to the Nupe Wikipedia! Thank you for all of your hard work which has brought us to this point.
All content from the Incubator is now imported to this wiki, so you can now safely start editing here.
While importing, I noticed some issues that you all as a community should work to improve:
- Most articles I checked don't have any internal links (links to other Wikipedia articles). If they don't, they will not be counted as articles in the Special:Statistics, so I would recommend adding links where you can. Internal links are one of the biggest strengths of Wikipedia, and make articles more discoverable by search engines and humans alike.
- There are absolutely no categories on any pages; this is something you should add (on bigger Wikipedias, there are normally no uncategorized pages at all). If you don't know how they work or how to add them, feel free to ask, and I can give a more in-depth explanation.
- I don't know what the main page should be named. What is used currently is Tatacin feregi, because that is the translation in the interface (from Translatewiki.net). However, the text for the main page in the sidebar says "Fere tacin", and the title of the main page in the Incubator was "Dana Gbangba" (but that page itself said "Dànā Gbángbá"…). It is probably best to settle on one term, and use that one throughout.
- I see a lot of inconsistencies in capitalization in the interface translations. For example, in the sidebar (on the desktop version), there is "fere gboko" with no capital initial, the same with "change worozhi" and "feregi eye kama", while al the other links are capitalized. This should be rectified on Translatewiki.net.
Please let me know if you need help with any of these issues. Another thing I would suggest is that you create a village pump page where you can hold discussions and votes on the wiki; this is, for instance, how someone would become administrator here. Currently there are no administrators here – if you need help deleting something, you can ask me for a few weeks, but after that you will need to ask global sysops for help on Meta.
